The G20 Education Working Group Meeting carried out by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) took place at the 5-star Royal Ambarrukmo hotel in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The meeting was chaired by the Director General of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, and Secondary Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of Indonesia Dr. Iwan Syahril, Ph.D. He mentioned in his conclusion speech that the G20 member countries have agreed on a commitment to support four priority agendas in the education sector which are expected to be a common solution to release them from the pandemic situation. The four agendas are quality education for all, digital technology in education, solidarity and partnership as well as the future of the world of work after Covid-19. Through the agenda of the G20 EdWG 2022 meeting, Indonesia invites all G20 member countries and organizations involved to discuss not only between countries, but also between working groups / engagement groups such as B20, Y20, and Think20.
