The seminar was organized by the Indonesia Navy in conjunction with Sail Bunaken 2009. Opened by Rear Admiral Ir. Sudjiwo M.Sc, the seminar was attended by 125 delegates from 33 countries such as Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, USA, United Kingdom, Japan, The Netherlands, Canada, China, France, Korea, Singapore. Maritime security in the South East Asia Region was the main issue discussed in the seminar.
