The conference was attended by 110 delegates from 25 Asia-Pacific countries and 8 international organizations. The two-day conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
