Initiated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and held at Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana, the conference was attended by 80 high-ranking delegates from 15 countries. The conference proposed an approach which will incorporate the three main actors of deforestation and forest protection in tropical regions: government, private forest owners and public forest stewards (including indigenous people and others.
