Co-hosted by the Indonesian National Narcotics Board (BNN) and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the 29th IDEC was officially opened by Vice President Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Prof. Dr. H. Boediono, M.Ec., on 12 June 2012 at Bali International Convention Centre, Nusa Dua. The conference was attended by 400 high-level officials including 40 Heads of National Narcotics Boards representing 80 countries. Chaired by General Gories Mere (BNN) and co-chaired by Mme. Michele M. Leonhart (DEA), the 3-day conference programme included exhibition, cultural night and field trip.
