The OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) held its Regional Southeast Asia Forum at Hotel Borobudur Jakarta on 24-26 March 2015, attended by 250 delegates from 31 countries and 13 world finance organizations. Officially opened by the Indonesian Minister for Finance, Dr. Bambang Brodjonegoro, and chaired by the OECD Secretary General Mr. Angel Gurr�a, the forum discussed two main topics: economic development and educational progress in Southeast Asia. At the same time, the OECD opened its office in Jakarta this year following the opening of its office in Tokyo a few years ago, with the purpose of strengthening OECD cooperation with Indonesia and other countries in Southeast Asia and also of following the OECD's commitment to strengthen cooperation with Indonesia.
