The Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia hosted the 16th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting of ILO (International Labour Organization) at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. Attended by more than 400 delegates including ministers and senior officials from 47 countries, the meeting focused on discussing the future of work and emerging challenges. It considered policies to strengthen sustainable development, job creation, and social justice in the region. Vice President Jusuf Kalla, during his speech as an honorable guest, emphasized that there should be no competition in decreasing regional minimum salaries among ASEAN member countries.
