International Symposium Constitutional Courts As The Guardian Of Ideology And Democracy

Melali MICE was appointed as the PCO for the International Symposium on Constitutional Courts as the Guardian of Ideology and Democracy in a Pluralistic Society, held in Solo City (Surakarta). Initiated by The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI), the symposium was attended by 400 delegates from 22 countries, including members of AACC (Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions) such as Korea, South Africa, Romania, Thailand, and Turkey. The symposium served as a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences to strengthen constitutional values, the rule of law, and democratic principles. Key topics included the role of the Constitutional Court in upholding state ideology, democracy, and managing a pluralistic society. Officially opened by President of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Joko Widodo, the event took place at Sebelas Maret University and Alila Hotel Solo. Activities included the AACC Secretary General Meeting, AACC Board of Members Meeting, a welcome dinner at Pura Mangkunegaran Palace, a gala dinner at Prambanan Hindu Temple, and a cultural program at Borobudur Buddhist Temple complex.
